Cardiac Surgery NP/PA locum position in Altoona, Pennsylvania (PA)

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Cardiac Surgery APP provider for full-time locum tenens coverage in Altoona, Pennsylvania (PA). Starting March 2026, this role offers a competitive market rate and ongoing coverage.

The Cardiac Surgery Role:

Location:Altoona, Pennsylvania (PA)

Start Date: March, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

Potential weeknight and weekend call coverage (OR emergencies only)- (OPTIONAL)

Procedures commonly performed include CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Convergence, wire removal, myxoma removal, and pericardial window

Trauma Level III

100% adults

Requirements:

PA license, active and unrestricted

Board Certified

DEA, ACLS, BLS

Minimum 2 years exp as NP or PA

Cardiac surgery experience preferred

Vein harvesting or OR assist preferred but not mandatory.
