Job Description
We are hiring an experienced nurse practitioner / physician assistant for our Cardiothoracic department for a locum assignment in San Francisco, CA!
In this role the main need is ICU and Rounding coverage which makes up about 70-75% of the role the rest is first assisting, however, if desire Cardiac ICU only that can be arranged!
Schedule: 3:12s weekly, with at least 1 weekend per month covered! (around 5-6 overnight shifts monthly)
The assignment shall be a 6 months to start, with an option to extend.
Seeking experienced providers with either OR/CVICU and/or MCS APP experience!
Target Start: Late March 2026
End Date: 26 weeks!
The CVICU/MCS APP will admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat critically ill cardiogenic shock patients on MCS support (ECMO, VAD, Impella) in the ICU setting under the supervision of the attending physician and will perform bedside procedures (including but not limited to arterial line, central line placement).
