NP/PA-Neurosurgery locums position in Erie, Pennsylvania (PA)

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Neurological Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to work locum shifts in Erie, Pennsylvania (PA) starting 08/07/2026. The role offers ongoing coverage and a competitive market rate.

The Neurological Surgery role:

Location: Erie, Pennsylvania (PA)

Start date: 08/07/2026-Ongoing

Schedule: Weekend-focused coverage (primary need)

• Friday 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Saturday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call)

• Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call)

• Weekday shifts 7a–5p possible but not currently required

• Estimated 8 shifts per month

• 458-bed hospital

• Level II trauma center

• Adult-only patient population

• Average census 15–20 patients

• Approx. 4 consults per weekend day and 2 admissions

• Team includes 5 neurosurgeons and 6 APPs

Required Procedures: post op neurosurgical patients 90% spine 10% cranial

EMR: Epic

Requirements:

Pennsylvania license, active and unrestricted

Board certified

ACLS, BLS; minimum 1 year experience; first assist preferred
