Overview:
Our surgical practice in Nashville is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide preoperative and postoperative care for a cardiac and surgical patient population. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility, within a collaborative clinical team.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients for preoperative surgical clearance, including ordering and reviewing labs and EKGs
  • Conduct patient evaluations and comprehensive clinical assessments
  • Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Coordinate patient care across specialties and services, monitoring progress and communicating updates with the care team

Qualifications:

  • Active, current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in Tennessee
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care or cardiac care
  • Clinical experience in surgical settings (e.g., cath lab, CVICU, OR, pre-op/post-op) preferred, with EMR proficiency
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong clinical judgment, patient management, communication, and collaboration skills
