Job Description

A premier multi-specialty group in the Clarksville, Tennessee area is expanding its advanced practice team and seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with a strong interest in preoperative and postoperative care. You'll join a progressive, team-based practice committed to high-quality, patient-centered pre-surgical evaluation and comprehensive post-surgical follow-up. Position Offers

  • Competitive guaranteed base salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Additional incentive potential

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preoperative evaluations, including history and physical exams, risk assessments, and surgical clearance
  • Order and interpret pre-surgical diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Provide postoperative follow-up care, including wound assessment, pain management, and monitoring for complications
  • Educate patients and families on surgical preparation, recovery expectations, and post-operative care instructions
  • Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and the multi-specialty care team to coordinate patient care
  • Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee NP license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current national NP board certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Interest or experience in preoperative, postoperative, or surgical care preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills
