NP/PA Locum Vascular Surgery Need in Springfield, OR

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work locum shifts in Springfield, Oregon (OR). Starting asap for on-going approximately 6 call shifts per month being needed.

The Vascular Surgery NP/PA role:

Location: Springfield, Oregon (OR)

Start date: ASAP on-going (3-6 months min) - up to full-time need with min 6 shifts per month wanted

Schedule: Daytime coverage, overnight beeper call, and weekday/weekend 24-hour call options

Call: Approx 6 shifts per month - nights and weekends available; 10-hour and/or 24-hour call shifts available

Practice Details:

• Inpatient and outpatient vascular/endovascular care
• Shift options include 7:00 AM–5:00 PM daytime coverage, 5:00 PM–7:00 AM overnight beeper call, and 7:00 AM–7:00 AM weekday or weekend call
• Approximately 15–20 patients per day
• Rounding and admissions required
• Work alongside an MD/DO
• Coverage needed to fill scheduling gaps
• Emergency or expedited privileges may be available, subject to facility approval
• EMR: Epic

Required Skills / Procedures:

• First assist in vascular surgery
• Assistance with clinic-based procedures
• Inpatient and outpatient vascular/endovascular patient management
• Rounding and admissions

Requirements:

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with relevant vascular surgery experience
• Active Oregon license preferred for the 2026 coverage dates; candidates needing Oregon licensure may be considered for later dates
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Documentation of clinical services representative of the requested privileges during the previous 24 months
• Surgical case logs for the previous 24 months, with surgeon documentation identifying whether assistance was as first, second, or third assist
• For first-assist privileges, documentation of training and competency, including procedure types and numbers during the previous two years, plus the primary surgeon’s name and contact information
