Job Description
Locum tenens opportunity for an experienced cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery Nurse Practitioner in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is based at an acute care hospital, and offers a chance to work closely with a high-performing cardiovascular and thoracic surgery team.
Details:
- Start Date: September 25, 2025
- Location: Las Vegas, NV
- Setting: Acute care hospital
- Schedule: 15–20 days per month
- Availability: Prefer blocks of 2–3 months for team continuity
- EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities:
- First assist in complex CVT surgical procedures
- Inpatient management including pre-, peri-, and postoperative care
- Rotating 24-hour first call coverage for CVT service
- Rounding, interdisciplinary coordination, and ER consults
- Diagnostic test interpretation and medication management
- Collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team
- Must have full first assist capabilities for complex CVT procedures
- CVT experience is required – candidates without this background will not be considered
Requirements :
- NV state license; active, unrestricted
- Certifications- BLS, ACLS, DEA
Compensation:
- Competitive market rate (based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs).
