Locums -NP - Cardiothoracic Surgery- Flagstaff, AZ - $135.00/hr to $150.00/hr

Orientation – April 23 7a-3pm 8 hour day
Apr 24 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours
Apr 25 7am-7am 24 hour call
Apr 26 7am-7am 24 hour call

Work Details:
· Support Staff: Surgeon
· Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: 4 days, 7a-3p plus call 3p-7a
· Patients per day: 10-15 CVICU/step down patients, plus 1-2 surgeries
· Patient Population/Age: adult/geron
· Department Description: CT Surgery
· EMR: Cerner
· Hospital Bed size: 199
· Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement
· Skills Required: recent cardiothoracic surgery, proficient with EVH

Requirements:
· Board Certification: PA
· License Required: AZ
· DEA: yes

· Minimum Experience Required: 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
Graduate from a university program approved by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants ( NCCPA) - Required
Or
Master's Degree in Nursing- Required
Certification & Licensures
Certified or certification eligible by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).- Required
*Licensure or eligible for licensing as a Physicians Assistant in the State of Arizona– Required
*ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
OR
*Graduate from an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program – Required
*Completion of a RN/NP First Assistant Program- Required
*Current unrestricted Arizona APRN license- Required
*Medical Surgical or NP ANCC or AANP Certification- Required
*ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association)- Required
Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days
