About the Position:

Working closely with supervising physicians, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) takes on a key role in managing the care of critically ill patients through various means such as face-to-face consultations, telehealth, and other communication methods. The APRN, as a proficient healthcare provider, ensures the delivery of high-quality care by conducting patient assessments, history taking, and interpreting laboratory findings. Additionally, the APRN formulates medical diagnoses, establishes treatment plans, prescribes medication, and educates patients and their families on the diagnosis and treatment regimen. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the APRN plays a vital role in ensuring top-notch healthcare services across the healthcare system. The APRN also leads clinical teams, intervenes in critical situations, and integrates evidence-based practices and technological advancements into their work. Moreover, participation in research endeavors, quality improvement initiatives, patient care coordination, and discharge planning falls within the scope of work for the APRN. Ensuring seamless patient flow, optimal outcomes, reduced length of stay, and enhanced patient satisfaction are essential goals for the APRN.

Qualifications:

• Degree: Master's degree in Nursing
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure
• Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Registered Nurse experience
  • Compliance with Florida state requirements for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and licensure
  • DEA License as required by specialty
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification relevant to specialty
  • Nurse Practitioner National Certification
  • Ability to obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as necessary for practice location

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
