Locum Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Neurology APP Locum Tenens (Inpatient Stroke & General Neuro) Night Shift

New Brunswick, NJ

Schedule: 7 Days/Week | 6:00 PM 7:30 AM | Starting ASAP

Setting: Inpatient Neurology | EPIC EMR

Join a nationally recognized academic medical center in central New Jersey, providing overnight coverage for the Stroke and General Neurology service line. We are seeking an experienced and board-certified Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to support inpatient neurology consults and acute stroke evaluations.

• Inpatient coverage of neurology patients and stroke codes
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and other neurological assessments
• Collaborate with neurology residents and attendings for patient management
• Manage consults (1015 patients per night, including shared care with primary teams)

• Level 1 Trauma Center (stroke care only trauma experience not required)
• Neurology resident on-site at night for collaboration
• Two attending physicians available by phone at all times
• EPIC EMR | No procedures required | No on-call responsibilities
• Ongoing locum opportunity with flexible start

Requirements:

• Active NP/PA license
• Board Certified (to maintain license)
• Experience in neurology or stroke strongly preferred
