Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Wound Care Specialist
Location: West Orange, NJ
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Wound Care Specialist in skilled nursing facilities across West Orange, NJ. This role focuses on evaluating wounds, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing education and guidance to patients, families, and facility staff. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong interest in wound care and a holistic approach to patient management.

Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, enjoy your weekends off!
- Closed on major holidays

Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $140,000 – $150,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess wounds in skilled nursing facility patients
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized wound care treatment plans
- Perform wound measurements and dressing changes
- Document patient care accurately, including charting from home or virtual meetings
- Educate patients and families on wound care and prevention
- Communicate effectively with facility staff regarding patient status and care recommendations
- Provide guidance on appropriate bed surfaces and other interventions to promote healing
- Take a holistic approach to patient care, considering all aspects of health and wellness

Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey
- Strong interest in wound care and patient-centered practice
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Must obtain Wound Care Certification within the first 9 months (company provides support)
