Director of Nursing – Behavioral Health
Our client is a residential facility serving individuals with primary mental health disorders. They are in Altoona, FL, less than one hour north of Orlando. They sit on over 60 acres of land, providing a serene setting that allows guests to heal away from the stresses of everyday life.

The Position: Our client’s Director of Nursing (DON) position will ensure that their healthcare facility is safe and meets the needs of patients and their families. They are responsible for ensuring that there are adequate staff for the facility. The DON serves as the Infection Control Officer and the Wellness Officer for the facility.
- $90,000 - $100,000 Depending on Experience

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing.
- Must Have at Least 2 Years of Management Experience in a Mental Health, Psychiatric Treatment Setting or in a Related Field.
- Familiarity with EMRs.
- Must Have In-depth Knowledge of Legal Policies and Regulations in the Healthcare Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 24 Hour Call 1 Week Every 4-5 Weeks (Typically by Phone Only).
- Oversee Budgeting, Staffing, Training, and Ongoing Education.
- The DON will Supervise Staff Performance and Give Feedback on an Ongoing Basis.
- The DON will Enforce Local, State, and Federal Laws in the Healthcare Facility.
- 11 Direct Reports (LPNs & RNs).
- Other Responsibilities May be Required.
