Job Title: Director of Nursing (Hospice)

Overview:
Our hospice organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations and ensure delivery of high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care. This leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team and supports care coordination across a multi-county service area. The position offers a structured weekday schedule and the opportunity to drive clinical excellence within a growing program.

$90,000–$110,000/year (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily hospice clinical operations across the service area
Lead and support interdisciplinary teams in care planning and delivery
Ensure compliance with clinical policies, standards, and regulations
Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency
Provide clinical oversight through case review and team guidance
Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
Partner with leadership on program development and operational strategy

Qualifications:

Active Illinois RN license or eligibility prior to start
Experience in hospice or post-acute care leadership roles
Strong knowledge of end-of-life care practices
Proven leadership, team development, and organizational skills
Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
BSN required; advanced degree or certification preferred
