Director of Nursing (DON)
Crestview, FL

Overview:
Our well-established educational institution in Crestview, FL is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to shape nursing education, drive regulatory compliance, and mentor a high-performing team of nursing faculty.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (237 days per year)
  • Competitive annual salary: $80,636–104,809 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the nursing department, including the ASN and BSN programs, setting goals and priorities aligned with institutional objectives
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate 5–10 full-time RN instructors, plus adjunct faculty
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, workload allocation, and resource management
  • Ensure program compliance with the Florida State Board of Nursing, Florida Department of Education, and accreditation requirements
  • Lead student admissions, recruiting, advising, and enrollment support for the ASN and BSN programs
  • Collaborate with academic leadership and clinical partners to maintain curriculum standards and quality clinical placements
  • Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives, analyze performance metrics, and report data-driven recommendations to leadership
  • Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and policy development to support program growth

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field (Doctoral degree preferred)
  • Current Florida RN or APRN license, or eligibility to obtain one
  • Supervisory and college-level teaching experience in nursing education, ideally with health program accreditation experience
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students, faculty, and healthcare partners
