Position Overview

As the Nurse Manager for the Medical ICU, you’ll lead a team of experienced nurses and clinical staff, overseeing daily operations, staffing, patient outcomes, and performance improvements. Reporting to the Director of Critical Care, you will craft policies, improve workflows, and foster a culture of excellence and collaboration across critical care services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Medical ICU’s clinical operations, staffing, productivity, and quality measures

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards

  • Drive policy, procedural enhancements, and strategic initiatives to improve unit performance

  • Mentor and support clinical managers and resource nurses; conduct evaluations and coaching

  • Participate in capital planning, supply and equipment management, and clinical committees

  • Deliver direct clinical support and leadership during high-acuity situations
