NEW Nurse Manager Opportunity – ICU & Intermediate Care
Southern Connecticut

A leading healthcare system in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee ICU and Intermediate Care units. This leadership role is responsible for managing daily operations, supporting clinical excellence, and developing a high-performing nursing team while ensuring quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Full-Time, Onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, staffing, productivity, and service recovery for ICU and Intermediate Care units

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff while supporting professional development

• Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules based on patient volume and acuity

• Manage departmental budgets, including personnel, supplies, and capital equipment planning

• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and bed coordinators to improve patient throughput

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (Master’s preferred)

• Active Connecticut RN license and BLS certification

• Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience (charge nurse, coordinator, or manager)

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Experience with quality improvement, regulatory standards, and hospital operations

Preferred Certifications:
CCRN, CEN, CVRN, NE-BC, or NEA-BC (preferred but not required)
