Areas of Responsibility:

• Maintains nursing care standards and hospital policies
• Develops individualized care plans for patients
• Collaborates with healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensures accurate shift hand-off communication
• Coordinates education and competency training for staff
• Reviews and revises departmental policies

Nursing Standards of Practice:

• Assesses and documents department competencies
• Leads staff meetings and education sessions
• Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments
• Oversees patient admission, transfer, and discharge

Collaboration/Quality:

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for patient care
• Ensures compliance with facility policies and regulations
• Participates in committees and meetings for quality improvement
• Establishes positive relationships with healthcare facilities

Physical Demands/Requirements:

• Ability to be mobile, communicate effectively, and lift/move objects
• Certifications in Hip & Knee Replacement, Shoulder Surgery, and Spine Surgery

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing school
• Current RN license in Minnesota
• Previous experience in Med Surg nursing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, PALS certifications
