NEW Nurse Educator Opportunity – Perioperative Services | Full Time (Days)
Overview:
Seeking a Nurse Educator to support Perioperative Services, including the OR, PACU, GI Lab, Pre/Post areas, and Central Processing. This role focuses on staff development, education, and ensuring high-quality patient care through training, coaching, and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and deliver education programs for perioperative staff
- Support orientation and ongoing training across service lines
- Assess staff competencies and provide coaching and mentorship
- Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical performance and patient outcomes
- Assist with development of policies, procedures, and best practices
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement
Requirements:
- Active RN license (ND or compact)
- BLS & ACLS (or obtained during orientation)
- BSN required (or must obtain within 3 years); MSN preferred
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and patient care
Preferred:
- Experience in PACU
- Prior teaching, training, or precepting experience
- Ability to scrub and circulate cases
