Travel PCU - Progressive Care Unit (RN) - Reston, VA
Pay rate: $2,522/wk
Shifts: 07:00 am to 07:00 pm

Job description

Travel Registered Nurses (PCU) provide care to patients who are recovering from surgery, experiencing acute medical conditions, or are too unstable for the general medical-surgical floor but not yet ready for the ICU. They work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor patients' progress, and administer medications. Travel PCU nurses are responsible for providing high-quality care to their patients while also being flexible and adaptable to different work environments.

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient vital signs and progress
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Manage and operate medical equipment and devices
Educate patients and families about their condition and treatment plan
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
Document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
