Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role

The Surgery Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all operations within Surgical Services. This position focuses on driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and team development while ensuring the highest quality of patient care. The ideal candidate will partner closely with physicians and leadership to develop strategy, implement performance improvement initiatives, and lead the department’s growth.

Schedule / Dates

• Full-time, permanent position

• Monday–Friday, day shift (on-site)

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise daily operations of Surgical Services.

• Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to expand surgical services.

• Oversee performance improvement and quality initiatives within the department.

• Develop and review departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

• Manage staffing, scheduling, and training to ensure full operational coverage.

• Hire, coach, and evaluate staff in coordination with Human Resources.

• Collaborate with physicians, management, and other departments to ensure integrated patient care.

• Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, and compliance with financial goals.

• Participate in community outreach and assist with provider recruitment and onboarding.

• Promote a professional, respectful, and collaborative work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Current RN license (if applicable).

• Minimum of 5 years of surgical services leadership experience.

• Proven success in operational management, staff development, and budget oversight.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives.
