Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for individual patients or assigned patient groups according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The RN supervises and directs assigned nursing staff, coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizes critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 36-48 Hours/Week
EMR: EPIC Experience Required
Status: Auto Offer
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Experience
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and assess patient health data and clinical information.
- Analyze assessment findings to identify nursing diagnoses and care needs.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient conditions and healthcare goals.
- Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and direct assigned nursing staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in patient care decisions.
