Job Description

NEW Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Direct Hire

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide high-quality care in a low-to-moderate volume obstetrics unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced fetal monitoring skills, and the ability to manage high-risk OB patients and emergencies during night shift coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive L&D nursing care, including fetal monitoring and labor management

  • Recognize and respond appropriately to fetal distress and OB emergencies

  • Care for high-risk OB patients, including pre-eclampsia

  • Perform C-section recovery and support operative deliveries

  • Function in both L&D and couplet care as needed

  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams; operate independently when providers are not in-house

  • Float to other units (typically Med-Surg) as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring

  • Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

  • C-section experience required

  • Strong assessment skills and ability to manage OB emergencies independently

Schedule & Call:

  • Night Shift

  • Call: 1 shift per 4-week schedule
