NEW Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Unit Opportunity | Full Time
Overview:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neurology/Neuro Med Surg unit to provide high-quality, specialized care for patients with neurological conditions. This role involves close monitoring, rapid assessment of changes in condition, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to neuro patients (stroke, seizures, post-op neuro, TBI, etc.)
- Perform frequent neurological assessments and document changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered
- Monitor for acute changes and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, and support staff
- Assist with discharge planning and patient/family education
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements:
- Active RN license (ND or compact)
- BLS certification (required or obtained during orientation)
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients
Preferred:
- Med Surg, ICU, or Neuro experience
- Stroke care or telemetry experience
- Comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment
