Job Summary:
Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and meet personal learning needs; attend relevant education programs.
- Use patient education materials and assess readiness to learn.
- Identify patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with team to evaluate care and ensure continuity.
- Provide safe, competent care for patients with complex needs.
- Perform point-of-care testing and follow standards and policies.
- Organize and prioritize care; consult resources for complex issues.
- Set and achieve professional growth goals; support unit objectives.
- Communicate effectively and give feedback to coworkers.
- Promote safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care.
- Assess patient needs, anticipate discharge, and support family advocacy.
- Plan care collaboratively, using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness.
- Stay informed through journals and share ideas for practice improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- One (1) year of nursing experience.
Education:
Required Education:
- Nursing Diploma. OR
- ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
- BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
