Job Description
Sumo Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to fulfill hospital call duties. This practice is based in Burien, WA. Our client serves a diverse community, including a very large immigrant, non-English speaking population in Burien and surrounding areas.
Schedule/Availability Requirements
Schedule: Strong preference for open availability without restrictions, must have some holiday availability
Shifts per month: Six (6) 24-hour call shifts per month, possibly more - Must remain within 20-30 minutes call back, call/sleep room provided on-site.
Start date: As soon as credentialed- credentialing can take up to 90 days
Setting Community hospital, one OB physician + one CNM on-call at all times. Total approx 1200 births per year (half by CNMs). Anesthesia on-site. Nitrous oxide for analgesia. Tubs for labor, no water births. LDR suites, separate post-partum unit.
Duties Triage, manage, deliver, discharge all CNM patients at birth center. After hours secondary phone triage (after answering-service consulting nurse).
Required Procedures: Surgical first assist for all c-sections.
