Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong ICU and cardiac telemetry experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple units, including ICU, Step-Down, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, and Medical Surgical departments while delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, nursing standards, facility policies, and state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance excellence initiatives.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to other units and departments as needed.
• Apply critical thinking skills to promote patient safety and positive patient outcomes.
• Escalate concerns appropriately through the established chain of command.

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN License
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Extensive ICU and Cardiac experience required
• Willingness to float to Medical Surgical units when needed
• Current certifications:
  • ACLS
  • BLS/BCLS
  • NIHSS
