A leading regional academic healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular surgical teams within a high-acuity operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare the CVOR, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular procedures
-
Assist cardiovascular surgeons and the surgical team throughout operative procedures
-
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection prevention and safety standards
-
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide appropriate instruments and supplies

Monitor surgical equipment and patient status throughout procedures
-
Perform surgical counts and ensure accurate documentation
-
Assist with room turnover and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures
-
Properly handle surgical specimens and maintain appropriate documentation
-
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, and other members of the cardiovascular surgical team
-
Support efficient workflow while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and quality care

Follow established CVOR policies, procedures, and protocols
Qualifications
-
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
-
Current BLS/Basic Life Support certification or ability to obtain it within the required timeframe

1–2 years of CVOR experience required

Experience working in a cardiovascular or open-heart surgical environment preferred
