Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist- Savannah, GA

A hospital in Savannah, GA is looking for an experienced Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist / Open Heart Surgical Tech to join its cardiovascular surgery team!

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent position

• 10- or 12-hour shifts

• On-call requirements dependent on schedule

• Approximately 1,000 cardiac cases annually and growing

• Exposure to a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, excluding transplants

• Collaborative cardiovascular surgical team

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during open heart and cardiovascular procedures

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies

• Maintain sterile technique and assist with patient positioning

• Perform surgical counts alongside the circulating OR RN

• Prepare instruments for sterilization and assist with room turnover

• Support patient safety and quality care throughout surgical procedures

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required

• Previous operating room experience required

• 1–2 years of CVOR experience required

• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification, with Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 30 days of hire

• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
