Job Description
The On Call RN position is responsible for working together to meet the physical, medical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of hospice patients and families facing terminal illness and bereavement. The 24/7 Telephone Triage Nurses filter and triage all call. The on-Call nurse will ONLY SEE new admissions or anything that cannot be handle via telephone. They will receive their schedule and will be required to go to any of our locations to provide care for their patient. Responsibilities may include completing a RN admission, visiting a patient at an ALF, nursing home facility, home, hospital, or medical facility. The RN nurse will work directly with the patient. This position requires a medical license.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current and valid R.N. License to practice in the state where the VITAS program is located.
