Job Description

Clinic nurses work closely with patients throughout the intake process to help doctors develop treatment plans and strategies.

Obtains patient information about current symptoms, medical histories, and medications to provide doctors with a complete understanding of a patient’s current medical needs and background.

Conduct preliminary tests such as blood pressure and respiratory checks.

Prepare equipment or other instruments for a doctor or assist with procedures during patient's visit

Administer medication or treatments, change the dressing on a wound, apply topical treatments, or administer medication via intravenous methods or direct injection.

Take note of changes in a patient’s overall health, recovery progression, and reactions to treatment, updating patient records to reflect new information. Report any problems or potential issues that they observe directly to doctors.

Qualifications and Job Info

2+ years current Primary Care Clinic experience - Required

Triage experience (primarily phone) - Required

EPIC EMR experience - REQUIRED

Knowledge in sending electronic scripts - Required

Travel experience - Preferred

BLS (AHA) certification required

Active state or compact license required

Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
