JOB TITLE (#2035): Registered Nurse - Clinical Surveyor - New York, NY

A Review Company based in New York, NY, is seeking a Registered Nurse - Clinical Surveyor to conduct onsite surveys of Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Centers. This position is majority travel and will be working within New York's five boroughs. Compensation and Benefits for the Registered Nurse - Clinical Surveyor:

  • The salary for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • This is a Full-time position
  • Mileage and accommodation reimbursements

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Clinical Surveyor:
  • NYS Licensed RN
  • Graduate of an approved, registered professional nurses training program
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing, preferred. Master’s degree in public health, nursing, healthcare administration or related coursework, a plus
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent, acute care experience
  • Experience working in a primary care clinic setting (Article 28) a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities review assignments
  • Must have at least one (1) year of survey experience

Duties of the Registered Nurse - Clinical Surveyor:

  • Review of critical areas of facility operations.
  • Assessments and observation for possible safety issues.
  • Review patient medical records and participate in and/or be responsible for writing Statements of Deficiencies as well as reviewing and responding to Plans of Correction.
  • Superior analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills, with the ability to present data and findings to interested parties with varying backgrounds.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all personnel including professional staff throughout the survey process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify substandard patient care.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of a full survey cycle of a project.
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn and navigate throughout the survey system.
