Job Title: Nurse Manager
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Job Overview:
The Nurse Manager plays a vital leadership role in overseeing daily nursing operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to residents in our senior living community. Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), the Nurse Manager supports and mentors nursing staff, ensures compliance with healthcare standards, and fosters a positive, resident-centered environment.
This position is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with strong leadership experience who is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors while supporting a collaborative and high-performing care team.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- On-call every 3rd weekend
Job Duties:
- Provide staff support and leadership to nursing team
- Conduct new staff training and oversee annual training programs
- Perform compliance audits to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
- Oversee and ensure high-quality resident care
- Work directly under the Director of Nursing (DON)
- Communicate effectively with families and address concerns from residents
- Assist with scheduling as needed

Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (State of New Hampshire or compact state).
- 3–5 years of leadership experience at the unit manager level, preferably in a senior living or long-term care setting.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high standards of resident care.
