Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Setting: Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)
Shift: Full-Time
Pay: 139,000-165,000 a year
WellTech Partners is currently partnering with a respected senior living community in the San Francisco Bay Area to identify an experienced Director of Nursing to lead and oversee nursing operations across multiple levels of care.

Position Summary
The Director of Nursing provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all nursing services within the community. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining full compliance with federal and state regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
The DN works closely with executive leadership and interdisciplinary teams to maintain clinical excellence, develop staff, and promote a culture of compassionate, resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for nursing services across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing settings.
- Develop and implement nursing care standards, policies, and procedures to maintain quality care and regulatory compliance.
- Lead recruitment, training, development, and performance management of nursing staff and clinical leadership.
- Establish staffing models, productivity standards, and scheduling structures for nursing teams.
- Oversee nursing documentation processes, physician orders, and medical record compliance.
- Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and coordinate preparation for surveys and audits.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and address resident needs.
- Manage infection control programs, risk management initiatives, and workplace safety protocols.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and oversee Medicare utilization processes.
- Support budgeting, expense monitoring, and resource allocation for nursing operations.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 6 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years of nursing administrative leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitative care, or acute care
- Strong knowledge of OBRA regulations and California Title 22 requirements
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or gerontological nursing is highly preferred
- CPR Certification required
