Manager of Emergency Services - Gainesville, FL

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Services Nurse Manager to join a dedicated healthcare team in North Central Florida!

Full-Time | Permanent Position | Day Shift | Leadership Opportunity

Requirements

• Active RN license in Florida or an eligible compact state

• 3–5+ years of recent acute care Emergency Department experience required

• 2–3+ years of recent ER leadership experience strongly preferred

• Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Manager experience preferred; strong Charge Nurse experience may be considered

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Current BLS certification required

• PALS or ENPC certification required

• ACLS and TNCC certifications preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, staffing, and clinical decision-making skills

Position Highlights & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a busy, high-acuity Emergency Department

• Lead a team of approximately 55 FTEs, including 4 clinical nurse coordinators

• Manage an Emergency Department with 32 main ER beds and 11 additional care-path beds

• Support a department treating approximately 130 patients daily

• Supervise staffing, scheduling, employee development, and performance

• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and compliance with clinical standards

• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes

• Drive quality improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency

• Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of nursing staff

• Day shift schedule with rotating weekends and after-hours/on-call availability as needed

• $10,000 sign-on bonus
