Job Responsibilities

Sarasota is seeking a Registered Nurse RN for the Director of Nursing DON role, who believes in our vision of providing a top quality standard of home care. The Director of Nursing DON is responsible for the overall direction of home health clinical services. Additional responsibilities for the Director of Nursing DON include:


Coordinating and overseeing all direct and indirect patient services provided by the clinical organization personnel.
Providing guidance and counseling to coordinators and clinical staff to assist them in continually improving all aspects of home health care services.
Assist in managing clinical teams.
Planning and providing help in assessments.
Implementation and evaluation of patient and family/caregiver care to all clinical personnel.


Job Requirements

We are looking for dedicated and professional Registered Nurse RN who is committed to providing exceptional patient care and service. It is also important that you are highly organized and that you demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Specific qualifications for the Director of Nursing DON role include:


Must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing. A Master’s degree in health care preferred
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing licensed by the state of Florida
Must be proficient in coordinating nursing and staff schedules
Three years' of management experience in home health
OASIS experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional administrative personnel
