Job Description
MedFirst Staffing, a Joint Commission certified provider of healthcare staffing services, is actively recruiting outstanding Registered Nurses (RN) for immediate openings at adult correctional facilities throughout central Virginia. As a correctional facility nurse, you will be part of a team dedicated to providing care to a unique and diverse patient population.
Assignments are full-time, day and night shifts available. Weekend and holiday work may be required. MedFirst also offers a wide range of benefits, including medical and dental insurance, and a 401k plan.

Registered Nurses (RN) Job Description:
- Provide treatment and direct care to inmates
- Administer medications
- Maintain patient records
Registered Nurses (RN) Job Requirements:
- Current Virginia or multistate nurse license in good standing
- Current CPR (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Clean background check
- Current PPD
- Negative drug screen
- Ability to complete the credentialing process in a timely manner
- One year of corrections nursing experience preferred
