Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team on a contract basis in a VA facility in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse and hold a valid state license in Pennsylvania. This role requires proficiency in EMR charting, a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with healthcare facility protocols and standards.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and preventive care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations in a timely and competent manner.

Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in EMR charting and documentation.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a specific healthcare setting (e.g., hospital, clinic, long-term care) may be preferred based on the contract requirements.
- Additional certifications relevant to the healthcare setting (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be advantageous.

Working Conditions:
- The position may require working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
