Job Description
A healthcare facility located near the Bronx, NY is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse to join their team! Opportunities available in ICU Float Pool or CSICU. Come join us and make a difference in the lives that we serve!
Pay: $54 - $65/hourly
ICU Registered Nurse Duties:
- Provide specialized care: Deliver high-quality, specialized care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life support equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients in the ICU.
- Respond to emergencies: Quickly respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions, such as CPR and defibrillation, while maintaining composure and ensuring patient safety.
- Educate and support patients and families: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and potential outcomes, offering emotional support and guidance throughout their ICU stay.
ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years experience as an ICU Registered Nurse preferred
- 1 year of Cardiac experience preferred but not required
- NY state R.N. license
- BLS required
- Infection Control Training preferred
- BSN preferred, ASN accepted
