Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced General Medical Surgical ICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within Cerner EMR.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
• Active RN license.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Current AHA ACLS certification required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• General Medical Surgical ICU experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN Certification.
• NIHSS Certification.

Schedule & Holiday Requirements

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM.
• Schedule may vary based on unit needs.
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays:
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year's Day
• Must work 1 minor holiday:
  • Day After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • New Year's Eve
