Location: Atlanta, GA (Travel Only, No Local Candidates Within 50 Miles)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity Medical ICU/COVID ICU setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records using Cerner EMR.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Active RN License (State License or Compact License as applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience within specialty.
• Experience in Medical ICU and/or COVID ICU preferred.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Certification

• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)

Additional Information

• Travel candidates only.
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
• Compliance documents are due by the Wednesday prior to the Monday start date.
• Candidates must meet holiday requirements:
  • Work 2 Major Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.
  • Work 1 Minor Holiday: Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.

Overtime

• Daily OT applies after 24 hours worked (based on contract multiplier).
• Weekly OT applies after 40 hours worked (based on contract multiplier).
