Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU and Step-Down ICU units. The ideal candidate must have strong ICU experience in a Level I Trauma Center and be willing to float to the Step-Down ICU as needed.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN License
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
- Current:
- BLS/BCLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Must be willing to work holidays as required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, and nursing standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
- Participate in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
- Provide clinical expertise and support to other units/departments.
- Apply critical thinking skills to promote patient safety and enhance patient experience.
- Escalate patient care concerns through the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
