Job Summary

Emergency Department RN needed for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate is dedicated to patient excellence and thrives in a rural hospital setting. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in emergency situations, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Triage, assess, and monitor patients, recognizing changes in condition and responding appropriately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding care and follow-up.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support and mentor new staff and students as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current, active RN license in the state of New Mexico.
  • ACLS, BLS/CPR, and PALS certifications required.
  • Less than one year of nursing experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
