Job Overview

A healthcare facility in Meeker, Colorado (81641) is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a combined Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department assignment. This role is ideal for nurses experienced in caring for orthopedic, spine, post-operative, adult, pediatric, and emergency patients in a fast-paced critical access hospital.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for Med Surg and Emergency Department patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately.
• Care for orthopedic and spine post-operative patients.
• Respond to emergency situations using evidence-based clinical judgment.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR.
• Participate in holiday coverage as required.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of RN experience
• Previous Med Surg experience required
• Spine/Orthopedic Post-Operative experience required
• Emergency Department experience preferred
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred

License

• Current, active, unrestricted Colorado RN License

Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• TNCC

Schedule

• Shift: Nights
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
• Overtime: After 40 hours/week
• Holiday Coverage: Required
