Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week (Additional shifts available)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week contract assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency nursing experience, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and critical patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and patient care standards.
- Participate as a team player in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Current Washington State RN License or Active Multistate RN License.
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Completion of 6-hour Suicide Prevention Training (Washington State requirement).
- Verification of demographics through Nursys.
- Current certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Holiday coverage required.
Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift Schedule: 1830-0700
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Overtime available after 40 hours worked per week
