Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Education/Training
- Associate of Science in Nursing degree (ASN). For RNs hired prior to January 1, 2020: Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: New Hires and Team Members who are new to the RN II level placed in this job on or after June 28, 2020 must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) within 36 months of placement.
- Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education.
- Meets all mandatory and developmental requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
Licensure/Certification
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- National Certification in area of practice (see unit specific requirements for specialty certification) after 2 years of practice.
Experience
- One (1) year as an acute care, hospital RN. Based on area of assignment, specialty courses and specialty experience may be required.
- Able to meet job duties and requirements of Clinical Nurse I. Must meet unit-specific performance competencies.
