**Position:** Infection Preventionist

**Relocation Assistance & Temporary Housing Available**

**Job Description:**

The Infection Preventionist is responsible for developing and maintaining written policies and procedures related to infection prevention, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies for the medical center and outpatient settings. They perform infection prevention surveillance activities, provide guidance to the healthcare team on proper care of infected patients including isolation procedures, and collaborate on programs for influenza vaccination and tuberculosis screening. The Infection Preventionist delivers information, education, and recommendations to reduce and prevent the spread of infection among patients, clients, visitors, healthcare workers, and the community. They also review current standards and literature to ensure best practices are followed, aiming to reduce costs without increasing risk to patients and clients.

**Minimum Requirements:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
- 3+ years of experience in infection prevention

**Work Schedule:** Primarily Monday-Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

**Job Type:** Full-time, Salaried
