Registered Nurse – Des Plaines, IL – College Student Health Center

Are you a confident and compassionate Registered Nurse with strong triage skills and a love for fast-paced, independent work? We’re looking for an RN to support student and staff health services in a college campus setting during the summer and early fall.

This is a short-term, full-time assignment with daytime hours and no nights or weekends—perfect for RNs who enjoy clinical variety, autonomy, and student-focused care.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide acute care, wellness checks, and assessments for students and staff
- Administer screenings including temperature checks, pregnancy tests, and STD testing
- Dispense medications, perform basic diagnostics, and coordinate follow-up care
- Respond to urgent health situations and support emergency protocols
- Ensure compliance with paper charting procedures and student health record standards

What We’re Looking For:

- Active RN license in Illinois (required)
- 1+ year of clinical experience, ideally in ER, urgent care, or similar high-paced settings
- Strong triage, documentation, and patient communication skills
- Confident working independently in a small clinical environment
- Compassionate, organized, and calm under pressure
