Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Jacksonville, FL. The successful candidate will have expertise in admissions and discharges, taking doctor’s orders, administering medication, and providing both routine and emergency medical care and interventions. The RN will assess patient needs and problems, plan patient care in collaboration with the treatment team, monitor and observe patients, and oversee the care provided by Behavioral Healthcare Assistants.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient admissions and discharges efficiently and accurately.
- Take and transcribe doctor’s orders, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with best practices.
- Provide routine and emergency medical care and interventions as required.
- Assess the physical and mental health needs of patients.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in cooperation with the treatment team.
- Monitor and observe patients, documenting changes and communicating concerns to the treatment team.
- Oversee and support the care provided by Behavioral Healthcare Assistants.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Previous experience in medical-surgical or psychiatric nursing is required.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
