Gastroenterology NP

We are looking for an inpatient/outpatient clinical Advanced Practitioner to join our [Register to View] team. Our General Surgery practice is hospital owned. This is a fulltime position. Under the direction of the General Surgery Medical Director and physicians, the AP will provide healthcare services to surgical patients, following established standards in both an inpatient and clinic setting.

Patient encounters will include the breadth of nonoperative clinical care in a surgical practice. Day-to-day primary responsibility will be given to operative and procedural assisting. Ability to perform, and/or learn to competency, bedside procedures is an expectation of the position.

• Educate patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens post-surgery and during follow-up care
• Evaluates outcomes of direct patient care and consults with other specialists
• Involves first call and first assist
• Cerner EMR
• Surgical experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS

The hospital is licensed for 133 beds. Service area is 85,000. CME allotment and 5 days paid to attend. Combined time off – 32 days. Malpractice, Health, Dental, and Disability insurance provided. Sign-on bonus and relocation allotments.
