Job Description
Infection Prevention Coordinator
SHIFT: No Weekends
SCHEDULE: Full-time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required (or appropriate compact license)
- 1 year infection control and 3 years clinical nursing experience preferred
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control preferred; or eligible to certify within 2 years of hire
- If not an RN:
- Will consider a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science; or a Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology
- Appropriate licensure for profession required
- 2 years acute care hospital and Infection Control experience preferred
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control preferred; or eligible to certify within 2 years of hire
- DOES NOT have to be a RN
- MUST HAVE 1 year of IP experience in hospital setting
- CIC preferred or must within 2 years
- Reports to Dir of IP
- M-F no weekends! 40 hour week
Salary range: $29.56 (1 year) - 36+ (10 years)
